HV58 NI / GD (VINTAGE)

Think classic Brit Blues players of the late sixties. The HV58 has the sound down to a tee. The development of this legendary pickup took many hours, and a bin-ful of rejected windings. To get it just right, Alan went on sound over specification, listening for hours to those incredible players on those incredible albums. Fully Beano certified!

Alnico V magnets, enamel coated winding wire, scatter-wound coils, and hard nickel pole pieces. These humbucker pickups are wax potted, but unlike modern pickup designs they are not vacuum processed as this reduces the natural gaps in the windings, which is partly responsible for the vintage flavour and response. Just a very versatile humbucker whether your sound is clean, crunch or…….beyond.

Choose from the equally attractive Nickel or Gold coloured casing for the classic PAF-style humbucker look, or ‘Zebra’ if you prefer the classic ‘open’ look.

Alan Entwistle guitar pickups are supplied unboxed and with mounting screws and springs (where model-appropriate). All our humbucking guitar pickups are wired with the ability to be coil-split so a wiring diagram is provided that shows how to wire for 'standard non-split', 'simple split', 'partial phasing' and 'series/parallel' configurations.
